R31 2656 BIOS update issue

How long should it take for the computer to finish the BIOS update and turn itself off? Its been abt half an hour now and no sign. Blank screen (backlight is on) the fan has stopped whirring like mad though.

I am afriad to turn it off as it says that this could be catastrophic.

Yours getting increasingly worried,

I got fed up with waiting , hit Ctrl alt del and it all booted up nicely...weird... New Bios version installed and everything
