broken T61 and goodies give away

I've got a T61 with a broken Nvidia vidcard. It is a Type 6459CTR. IIRC it's got a duo 2.6 ghz processor. It has a DVD drive/burner. It does not have a hard drive. Battery is no good. It was most always used in docks with wireless keyboards and mouse. Cosmetically it's 95%+.

The dock is a Type 2504. You can't add a vid card to this particular dock. Everything works on it and it's cosmetically 95%+.

Included are two Lenovo power supplies. As far as I recall, both work normally.


It's a shame to see this laying in my closet when someone out there could be using it. I'm looking for someone that would like to resurrect this machine either with a dock/vidcard or a new internal vidcard. I would really like to see someone get this who may not have a lot of resources or money at this time. Someone willing to work to glue together a good machine. If this is you, email me. First one that messages their name/mailing address, gets it. I'll check messages daily and post when it's been spoken for.

Good on ya. That's still a prize. Many of us could use elements of that even if they didn't try to reball the mobo (I might have given that a shot myself). I hope the recipient couldn't swing something like this otherwise...hmm, actually, that's not great to wish on someone either.

It's too bad there isn't a central freecycle-esque thread like this here (unless the mods wanna sticky this). It might entice others to give stuff away that they don't want to put enough effort into pricing, etc.
