Unless you find a burglar with a set of lock-picks, or someone with exactly the same key, your best bet is to drill the lock out.

Re: undocking x41 without key?
ohh thats too bad, i thought maybe all keys are same, as its not anty theft lock but an anty accidental disconnect protection, anyway, thanks a lot. i'll need to find someone to help me with this drilling. but after this dock will be usufull, right? just no lock..
Re: undocking x41 without key?
If you drill out the lock, then the dock will still be useful, it just won't lock.
But if you decide to go the HULK SMASH path and bust open the dock, then it'll be ruined.

The T23 should have had a 16V/4.5A/72W charger.
All 16V IBM adapters will work, incl. the 4.5A versions.

Re: undocking x41 without key?
yea, i thought as well mine is 4.5a, but when i checked, it finds out its 3.36a (fru 02K6550). computer works with it for more than year, without problems, so is it unsafe using 3.36a?
other thing i found intresting is that n150 is brighter on the lowest level, that x41 on highest, i guess this is the diffrent between lcd and led..

Re: undocking x41 without key?
3.36a is OK for the X41 on its own.
For using the X41 with the dock you should use the 4.5A
The 3.36 will get warm on the T23, but will still work. The 4.5 would be better though.

Re: undocking x41 without key?
my ultrabase is doing fine
few more question;
i just get another tp from the series, this time x40, this time with complete different ac, not ibm, whats bother me its 19v 3.95a, wont this hurt my sweetie?
does all x41/x40 preinstalled hdds suport aps? if so, do i need any additional drivers or its not nessesery?
and last one for now; (dont laugh;) are there any risk of electric shock if i touch those battery pins on the back of notebook, during working on ac without battery? (im asking couse im very anxious about electricity, from time i get once shocked, luckily that wasnt very serious)
cheers!

Re: undocking x41 without key?
Throw that 19V charger away or sell it!
It can only damage your TPs.
All X40/X41 need 16V chargers, 3.36A for the bare machine, 4.5A with dock.
There's no harm touching the battery terminals.
APS is part of the IBM/Lenovo software. Not every hard disk supports it.
