X20 - is there a recovery CD?

#1 Post by hiero » Mon Dec 17, 2012 2:13 pm

A friend of mine has got an old X20 to setup for their youngster and because they know I have a couple of Thinkpads has asked if I have a recovery CD for it... I have one for a 600 but don't want to muck them about by letting them try that... is there a specifc X20 restore CD does anyone know? If so, can anyone let me have a copy of it or point me in right direction please...

All the best

Perhaps:
The T22/T23 is a very similar machine, and 1000% more popular. Send a PM to RealBlackStuff and see if he might have a set for the T's.
Otherwise, I have a clean copy of W2kpro, drivers wont be a problem, and I ship to England
NOT the same thing as you are asking for but:

Most likely they will. I did a quick google for the specs, and see that both are PIII based machines. Im sure there will be a driver or two you might need to add, but the "bulk" of recovery should work just fine.

The other thought is to use a good W2kPro disc and serial, then load the drivers. All of which I could help provide. The last package I sent to the UK was Priority, and made it pretty quickley, first and last, about $17.00 USD.
