Looking for a quote

#1 Post by DaKKS » Wed Dec 19, 2012 5:43 pm

I've been racking my brain for a quote I read a few years back. It went something along the lines of "They speak the language of violence" and it continued "and that language makes the world go deaf." or a variation of it. I Have no idea where its from, who said it or when. It just got stuck into my mind and sort of got lost. Yeah, its very dark and empty in there...

Anyone have any idea what I'm on about?

Having looked through quotation reference books and finding nothing, I turned to everyone's modern alternative ... the internet ... and there are references to Adolf Hitler's book 'Mein Kampf'.

It might sound naive but, as my father fought against Hitler in order to defend our freedom, I do not feel an urgent rush towards reading anything that an Austrian painter and mentally insane meglomaniac happened to write in order to justify his gross misconduct.

So excuse me if I leave this topic to those who might feel there is cause to respond further. :BAAAD!:

That was a bit harsh, don't you think? That attitude is neither necessary nor appropriate.

I have a faint memory of reading this quote in reference to some sort of school project my class did. So i hardly think it had anything to do with Hitler and Mein kampf. But even of it does, which i honestly cant rule out since i don't remember the circumstances i read it, it doesn't change anything.
