Sorry to kind of take this off topic, but...

I recently purchased this T60, and it has 79etd1ww 2.11 BIOS. I would like to update to the newest on Lenovo's site for 64 bit proc support. I am currently running the same wireless card as listed in the linked post. Could I get some info on the white list bios update for the 79uj34uc.iso as well?

To run 64-bit OS you need to install a 64-bit Core 2 Duo CPU, such as the 667 MHz versions of the Intel T5xxx series or Intel T7200/T7400/T7600.
A BIOS update alone won't do it.

THX a lot ... it works !

also i have one more question to you RealBlackStuff ;]

in other thred you write that if you have just 2 antenas that i shiuld connect them to 0 and 2 .... and i think about third anten becouse i change this card becouse im hope to achive a little bit extra range becouse i have powerful AP nerby my home but signal is low and often connection lost ... so it i will but some cheap antena from other laptop and hide it under keyboard it do difference ? or have i to buy orginal from T61 and mount it in screen ?

sorry for my english but i quit my lessons a while ago ;]

If it's not the original antenna for that model laptop, you will have to experiment with the antenna location, to find the best position for it.
Please note that a T61 has a protective metal cage in the lid, which would prevent a lot of signal to go through!

Unfortunately the Intel T5750 CPU is not one that is supported within the ThinkPad T60 line - Your choices are:

Core Solo CPU's
T1300 (1.6 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T1400 (1.83 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache

Core Duo CPU's
T2300 (1.6 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T2300E (1.66 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T2400 (1.83 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T2500 (2.0 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T2600 (2.16 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T2700 (2.33 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache

Core 2 Duo CPU's
T5500 (1.6 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T5600 (1.83 GHz), 2-MB L2 cache
T7200 (2.0 GHz), 4-MB L2 cache
T7400 (2.16 GHz), 4-MB L2 cache
T7600 (2.33 GHz), 4-MB L2 cache
T60F: (Integrated Intel GPU) - [Another T60 FrankenPad!...Different approach]
R60F: (Integrated Intel GPU) - [ThinkPad R60 15.0" FrankenPad]

That T5750 should work.
Check that the small triangle on one corner of the CPU points to the top-right of the CPU-socket, where there is also a (larger) triangle.
Have you checked that none of the CPU-pins are bent or missing?

And as I said before: ALL of the 667MHz T5xxx will work (T5250, T5450, T5500, T5550, T5600, T5750).

@Peak2Peak: Underclocker's list is incomplete!

Pulled CPU list from the HMM - Also thought that the T5250/T5450/T5550/T5750 were Socket P's (?) - (as opposed to Socket M's supported by the ThinkPad T60 line)

 OOPS!
Peak2Peak is right!
Only T5500 and T5600 have Socket M.
Darned Intel and their mix-n-unmatch numbering system...
My apologies for sending you in the wrong direction.

hello again

so take this SXGA+ for test ... i install new lid with screen and after turned it on it stays 1024x768 ... i delete monitor file and reinstal vga drivers but nothing changed ... i think my friend is wrong and this screen is XGA but how to check it for shure .... also i open vga properties and in there max supported resultion was 1024x768x60 .... maybe the vga is the problem ?
