Need help with wireless set up on Z60M

#1 Post by Miserableloser » Sat Dec 29, 2012 10:24 pm

I have a thinkpad z60m running windows xp
I recently changed my router and for some reason I can't connect to it wirelessly.
I have a feeling it has to do with thinkvantage or some other thinkpad software or perhaps with the imbedded security chip or something of that nature.
The wireless network shows up when I am on the "choose a network " window. However I enter the key for the router and the wireless network connection window pops up and just sits on the waiting for network message. Then eventually it times out and the box closes and I am bak to the choose a network box
All my other devices connect wirelessly to the new router it's just this computer that's giving me a hard time.

Not sure if this helps but I was getting a thinkvantage box coming up every time I powered up the computer, it was something along the lines of setting up thinkvantage, or setting up security. I had always closed the box and just put it off. If I am not mistaken I think I went thru the setup one time and my wireless login problem happened shortly after.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
