questions about multi touch screens

I need to replace a multi touch screen in an x201 and I have never used or played with one. In the service manual, the screens are listed in 2 sections. I assume the first FRUs are the ones that were sold with X200 machines and the second section has those sold with X201, although all the type numbers for both models are listed next to all the FRUs, so any can be used on any machines. True? Is there an advantage to certain brands? There seem to be at least TMD (Toshiba), Hydis and Samsung. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.
