Given that RBS no longer offer SATA mods on Intel-based units, this is a rare opportunity to obtain one...

While the machine is very clean, it's not perfect. There's a crack on the RH side of the lid, and it should be replaced. The buyer will receive an additional 15" T4x lid in very good condition, but the swap is up to them - I simply don't have the time to do it and have priced this rare bird accordingly.

If you're looking for an inexpensive - yet reasonably powerful - Linux workstation this Frankie should be on the top of your list.

If you want a HDD/SSD, dock, 9-cell battery, DVDRW...everything is available at additional cost.

This T43F's motherboard also has a connector for 1394 Firewire, something unheard of in a T43
If buyer is interested I can mail him/her the corresponding hardware.
The port goes between PCMCIA flap and fan exhaust.
Just a bit of DIY with a drill/Dremel and you're in business!
(And no, I won't do it for you).
