How do I know if T530 has a WWAN card installed?

#1 Post by johnny9fingers » Fri Jan 11, 2013 10:25 pm

Hello,
I purchased my T530 2359CTO from the Lenovo Outlet and have been thinking of instaling a mSATA SSD. How do I determine if my machine is mobile wireless ready without opening it up? If there is a mobile broadband card installed I will want to leave it and swap out the ultra bay with a 2nd SSD instead.
Thanks,
John

You can look for WWAN cards in "device manager" and figure out if one is installed.

Or, even though you said you don't want to open the PC up, you can unscrew the bottom plate (only 2 srews) and see if there is a WWAN card in there- if not -- since the bottom is open, go ahead and put in your mSATA card into the spot where the WWAN card would be!
