Win XP miniPCI combo card compatibility

#1 Post by scrooge » Mon May 02, 2005 8:01 am

Does anyone have Win XP running on an A21M with a Lan/Modem PCI card. If so, what kind and where did you get drivers. In a previous post, I cannot get the INTEL Pro card that was working with Win 98 to work with XP nor the the drivers available from IBM. I have got PCMCIA slot combo cards to work, but would prefer not to tie up slots.

Did you check Intel's website for drivers (I'm using the Intel generic drivers for the Intel 2200bg card instead of IBM's)?

Also check on driverguide.com (requires free registration), if an XP driver exists, its' probably on there.

I think if you go over to the website for netstumbler - the will point you at the site at intel for the drivers. There are a couple of versions - you may want to try the older versions.

No luck on older drivers

I have checked INTEL (Xircom) for drivers. Neither Win 98 or Win 2000 drivers will work. Does anyone know of another miniPCI combo that will work with A21? I think there is a 3com that was also shipped by IBM. Are there others that might work with Win XP?
