Will the new X32 come with a Levono logo?

#1 Post by nowstime » Mon May 02, 2005 8:21 am

Hi~

I'm about to order a X32 but it has a 20 day waiting period...

Is there a chance it will come with a IBM-LEVONO logo, since the merge has been complete lately...?

Best wishes,

Austin, TX

My X32 arrived on 17 May 05, and the only mention of Levono was on the packaging slip.

Look at the bottom of the computer, where they have the mac addresses. You'll find the Levono name.

I thought (reading through other posts) that the X-series units were made in China, and would not be changing. One can assume that quality should be about the same, unless they are also having a lot of trouble keeping employees.

The opposite holds with the T-series. If I recall correctly, Lenovo's competitor was producing these systems, and they transitioned all manufacturing to a new plant for Lenovo. Plus, they have had some staffing issues.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
