Cant find Specs of my T410

#1 Post by bass1175 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:03 am

Hello guys, I have a T410 type 2537-hn2 I know it has an i5 2.5GHZ and my ram but would appreciate if anyonne can help me get full specs on the machine such as video card type, screen res. google is not revealing anything.

It has dual drives 64GB for os and a ultrabay drive of 250GB, this is the first setup I get as such and it is a pleasure to use, extremely quick start up.

Any help finding more specs on my machine is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot Brad. Although accomplished it was tough getting all the drivers, initially to start, I had to download 5 wireless card drivers and installed till I got a match. Once I got internet I downloaded Thinkvantage updates, midway thru while installing a driver, I get BSOD, luckily windows 7 got me out of it, and reverted me back to how the machine was before any installations from Thinkvantage. Then I only checked to update modules and video card and left many unchecked and it installed the drivers without a problem. The BSOD was a scary sight to seeafter installing a fresh copy of windows.

Now that I have everything installed is there a way to check whats actually on my machine? Device manager? Thanks again.

Try PC-Wizard. It is supposed to detect hardware.

I've not used it, but I have used their CPU-Z product for years to detect memory & processor details.

Thanks Nikki.

I have a new dilemma and please chime in for advice.

As you know I have the above model with a SSD and another conventional drive in the ultrabay.

Iam trying to create a new similar setup.

My options are a

2912-W6H which comes with a 128gb SSD and a screen res of 1440x900 2.53 GHz nvidia quadro 3100m
or
2518-AHU Which comes with a 250GB regular drive and a screen res of 1280 x 800 5 2.66 ghz although lenovo states 3.2GHZ ( swapped?)
and intel graphics card.

Iam hesitant of the screen res of the AHU model as Iam very comfortable with 1440. And also the 1440 comes ready with the SSD installed.

Which would you choose anything note worthy that Iam missing for any of these models.

Whats your take on the 1280 resolution. Are all of these machines LED display?

Thanks a lot once again.
