Cleaning the PC
Im getting ready to clean out my IBM NetVista X40, " http://s3images.coroflot.com/user_files ... EGYp14.jpg " its a Intel Pentium III and has a SiS GPU graphics card. Its never been cleaned out by the looks of it, and was going to put new thermal paste on the CPu and GPu and clean out the entire dust. theres alot of dust inside, but it looks more like coal dust. When taking off the SiS GPu heatsink, theres no thermalpaste but a double sided tape that has been dryed out and came off easily. Is there a place I can get a new strip of this tape, as its GPu is black plastic with its lettering written on it. " http://images.tweaktown.com/content/4/0/400_17.jpg " "Not my board"

Re: Cleaning the PC
Since that GPU cooler is 'spring-loaded', which compensates for any height-difference, you can use thermal paste there as well.
That will cool better than a thermal pad.

Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
