Chipped X220t overlay

#1 Post by Latios » Tue Feb 05, 2013 4:24 am

I had a run in with a sharp object of the metallic kind (sparing the story now :| ) and the overlay on my X220 tablet seems to have a small chip in it, about half the size of an eraser head. It's the multi touch one and would anybody know where it would be possible to easily obtain a new overlay (or display/digitiser assembly if that's not possible)? Ideally in australia, or if that's not possible what sort of price range I'd be looking at.
On a side note, I've also noticed that it isn't made of glass but rather some very hard plastic.

Or if there's some sort of filler (I don't know if anyone's attempted it or if it can be done) to hide the better part of the chipping that'd be great too.
Not really a big issue but it would be better if it wasn't there.

Cheers
