T60 and 4 GB PC2-5300 stick

#1 Post by Tim82 » Wed Feb 06, 2013 1:49 am

Can a T60 handle a single 4 GB DDR2-667 stick? I'm aware of the limitations of the chipset, but I have only this machine now for testing purposes (running Memtest86). Thanks in advance!

(Edit: grammatical correction)

No.

I've tried a 4GB PC-2 5300 DIMM in both T60 and Z61m and got no display on boot.

Thank you for the quick and helpful answer! I'll seek a T61/R61/X61 owner fellow in my town who can help me out then.
