TP 600E 2645 French!

First post.... a right royal newbie.... am an ex pat Brit, living and working in France

(actually in Saint-Malo, which is about 2hrs drive away to the west from the 6/6/1944 Normandy beaches)

Have resurrected an old 600e, P2-300, 288Mb 4Gb running on Win 2000 Pro and having just changed the bios battery

I am wondering what cheapskate upgrades I could do without ruining the credit card.

I would like to run XP as a minimum but am unsure of what drivers are out there, to allow this, and possibly find a bigger drive, but there again, I am not sure
how much bigger a drive I can install before running into problems

The only 2.5 IDE drive on stock in my bin of bits is a 40Gb

Any help would be most welcome
