How powerful x31 is?

#1 Post by MIODO_PL » Sun Feb 10, 2013 8:13 am

Question for x31 users - is it powerful enough to play 1080p *mkv movies (of course on external display device)?
And what games can it run? Counter strike 1.6? Radeon 7000 isn't gaming graphic card, so i don't expect too much, but i can't find any movies witch x31 running games.
I'd like to also ask about wi-fi in x31 - is it as good as i t43? Because i use wireless connection which is very weak, and many notebooks are not detecting signal, but t43 do :)

If the wifi adapter isn't up to what you need, you can always replace it with something that will do the job.

1080p video is beyond the capabilities of an X31.

I have no idea about games, but you already know not to expect much. And I'm sure that is what the X31 will deliver.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

The X31 is definitely not a gaming or multimedia machine. It only has 16 MB video ram, which is ok for office work and light photo editing but not for heavyweight multimedia stuff.
Wifi reception is pretty good, on the same level as a T42/43 series, due to the twin antenna in the lid.
T42 (14"/250GB/1.5GB; NL; with minidock); R51 (15" flexview/40GB/1 GB). X31 (12"/320GB/1GB); T42 (14"/60GB/1GB; FR)
