Hello
I got a new Advanced Minidock Plus Series 3 USB3 (170W). When I dock my T400s, it immediately powers off. I guess it happens when the silver thingies touch the Thinkpad, but I am not entirely sure. It happens in all cases, so it is not an issue with static electricity. It also happens when the dock is completely unplugged (no USB, no display, no power etc. connected). It also happens when just the BIOS screen is shown, so it is not a Windows / driver issue.
Once the Laptop is docked in and restarted, all works fine. I can also undock without problems.
The T400s docks fine on an older Minidock (same model, but with eSASA instead of USB 3). I can also dock my office laptop (T410) to my new docking station without any problems.
Does anyone share a similar experience? I wonder if the docking station is faulty, or the Thinkpad, or if there is a known issue / incompatibility between these two pieces of equipment.
Thanks! Martin
