Hi together,
what i don't understand is, how it works, that an akku can have different voltage?
You can find
* 8cells with 14,8V
* 6cells with 10,8V
* 4cells with 14,4V
For my understanding, the akku should have the systems voltage as everything else would imply to regulate the voltage additionally with a loss of efficiency?
And second, what i also don't understand is, why this is not linear?
Why has a 4cell more voltage than a 6cell?
Thanks
Florian

Re: Akkus: Different voltage no issue?
Different batteries do not have to have the same voltage, because the raw voltage goes through a regulator anyways.
A 4-cell battery is 4 Li-Ion cells in series. A 8-cell is 2 strings of 4 cells in series. That's 3.6 * 4 = 14.4 volts. A 6-cell is 2 strings of 3 cells in series, which is 3.6 * 3 = 10.8 volts.

Re: Akkus: Different voltage no issue?
Thanks, good to know, so i don't need to worry about voltage any more
