Fixing my Navigation Keys

#1 Post by andyli » Tue May 03, 2005 5:02 pm

Somehow my navigation keys broke - the ones that tell Internet Explorer to go "back" and "forward." They do not control anything in Windows anymore.

I checked the Key Customizer Utility, and I did not see anything wrong there.

I'm not sure when this started (I didn't try to use it for awhile), but could it have something to do with a PS/2 keyboard that I have at home connected to the docking station? It is a Logitech keyboard.

Go to the thinkpad installer program, there should be a selection for "web navigation keys" or something obvious to that purpose - you might have to reinstall them.
IBM ThinkPad T42p (2373-7XU): 1.8GHz/1024MB, 15" UXGA, DVD-RW, 80GB, 2200b/g.

Thanks -- I'll try that now.

It also told me that my ThinkPad Software Installer needed an update. What changed? (1) They added Lenovo to the Agreemement and Copyright; (2) It no longer installs to Access IBM - Rather it is now "ThinkVantage".

That didn't fix it either :(

I'm really thinking that it is a conflict with the external/dock keyboard, but I'm not sure why.
