Price of your ThinkPad collection NEW

So out of all the IBM PCs I own, ThinkPads to desktops, im looking for a old retail price archive of what your collection of ThinkPads were brand new and add it up. So far I only found these.

Newbie to the classic thinkpad world

I love the creative design of the butterfly keyboard so I get the 701C. Not a cosmically perfect machine but works just fine.

I would be interested, just out of curiosity, about the original price of the ThinkPads I own. I don't know of a source for such pricing, though. Maybe forum member who bought new will add to this list, until we can all fill in our machines and come up with a total, eventually. I have read about how expensive models like the 600 series were when they were first released, but it doesn't really matter to me, as I only had to pay a fraction of the price for mine.

If memory serves me correctly, which could be quite a stretch, in 1997 the newly released 770 was $7,200 and was considered a good value.

I bought quite a few early Thinkpads new when I was able to dictate what I wanted to my IT Dept. I only remember cost of the Thinkpad 500 which was roughly $1800 new. If I had a 3 1/2" floppy drive, I could check my old emails from the 90's and figure out costs for the 600E, 600X and the T2x units I bought new.
