T42 modem voice support?

I'm using a T42 for blocking telemarketing and spam calls. The program has an option of playing a recording but it doesn't work and says the modem does not support voice. Modem is listed as 'in-build Conexant ICH AC'97 modem' in device manager. No newer drivers found in Windows update or Lenovo update. Any driver to make this work or is this a winmodem that lacks voice ability?
