Wireless Options
Wireless Options
Beside a Linksys Wireless Notebook Adapter, what other choices do I have for wireless? I have tried many things in a effort to get it to work on the T22 without success. So I am looking for other vendors or possibly a USB Wireless Adapter.

Re: Wireless Options
There should be plenty of PCMCIA (PC Card) wireless cards available, along with USB adapters. What's important is what type of operating system you have on the T22 and the wireless access point you are connecting to. Whatever card/adapter you get, make sure it has drivers for the OS. Along with that, make sure that the card supports whatever speed/band technology (802.11a/b/g/n) and encryption system (WEP, WPA, WPA2) the access point uses.
When having problems connecting wirelessly, it's best to try with the simplest scheme possible on the access point: turn off encryption, make sure the SSID is being broadcast, disable any MAC filtering, enable DCHP. If that works, then start enabling one option at a time and see where that leads.

Re: Wireless Options
Finally I think I found the problem. I re-installed Microsoft visual C++ and removed an incorrect update of Windows Installed, removed and re-installed the adapter software and now all is working, even the wireless monitor. I now have some Funk software called Odyssey Client that I do not know where it came from. Don't remember downloading it, but since all is working surely don't want to remove it.

Re: Wireless Options
I think that some Linksys routers use that Odyssey software.
AFAIK you can very well live without it.
