HDD vs SSD vs CF vs ZIF & new screen

#1 Post by ganon11000 » Thu Mar 07, 2013 5:17 am

I've got 30 pounds to spend, which is the better choice, I can get a 16GB SSD or 20GB HDD or some CF setup or a ZIF setup

And what screens is the X41 compatible with as the one it has is cracked :(

*edit*
I'm thinking of this CF card http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... ink:top:en is it any good?

and is this adapter compatible? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cf-adapter-44 ... 20cf5c2d72

Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.

The others or nice, but if you got a cracked screen, then the next course of action should be obvious. After a SSD would be nice.

I'm already getting a screen of off eBay for 26.50 and am using a 1GB usb with a 2MB/s speed with lubuntu live and it's really fast - faster than my A31 with a new hdd!!

*edit*

I bought a 8GB CF card (200x speed) and the adapter mentioned and a screen, will report if it works later!

*2nd edit*
the screen came, works great, now only need the CF card and adapter to come!
