T400 3rd Party BIOS Whitelist Patches

#1 Post by ScottyBoy » Sat Mar 09, 2013 9:37 am

Afternoon All,

Just a quick post to see if any of you guys & girls happen to know of any reliable 3rd party BIOS patches for removing the hardware whitelist from 2 x T400 TPs; the first one is a 2768-11G and the second is a 6475-GE2.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations. :)

I would suggest you check out the lenovo thread over on the mdl forum. That is where all of that kind of stuff is happening at. They are some BIOS ninjas over there. Make sure you search before you post. They get kind of cranky if someone starts a new thread when something has already been done in the past.

Thanks for that, greatly appreciated - apologies for the delay in replying (had a bad case of tonsillitis) but the 3rd party BIOS has been installed on both TPs and they are running well with the additional upgrades. Cheers :D

Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

Thanks.
I am scouting the net an have come across My Digital Life Forum also.
I wanted a easy step by step instruction sheet.
When II replace my 8400 cpu I want to whitelist the Bios also.
The 8400 is good enough for me for my algorithms exploration
I am replacing cpu(by P9500) to observe if a 6MB cache makes a observable :D improvment.
