Eh, I configured my W520 to have WiFi+WiMAX and mSATA. Problem is that WiMAX is not actual anymore in these woods, our WiMAX network switched to LTE - which works great in city, but not so good outside city.
The way I understand it is that you can't have a WAN card if you have mSATA, you have to choose between WiFi and WAN if you have mSATA, correct?
Thus what I need is a WiFi card that has a 3G built into it. Is there anything like that?

Re: 3G + WiFi?
I don't think there is a Wifi + cellular data combo card.
That got me thinking, though: You could probably tap the USB lines on the WWAN slot for a WWAN card while simultaneously using an mSATA SSD. Anyone up for some hardware hacking?

Re: 3G + WiFi?
Isn't it much easier to use your cellphone for WAN? Most modern cellphones can host a Wifi network. Older ones can connect with Bluetooth.
I regularly use my T61 or W520 with my Xperia X1; I keep the Xperia in my pocket and connect using Bluetooth.
That also means you won't need a double data plan (assuming you already have one for you phone).
