Places to touch/feel thinkpad in person

#1 Post by cinexero » Wed May 04, 2005 9:31 pm

Hey yall, so after lurking on the forums for some time, I've finally decided to get a thinkpad, I'm still trying to work out exactly which one I want, but I'm leaning towards a FVU and upgrading later...

Anyways, does anyone know of a retailer in the metro Atlanta area that stocks T42s. I kinda want to play with one before I drop ~$1.5K.

Thanks a bunch, just to warn you, in the next few weeks you should expect quite a few newb questions out of me :D

Hey...

Great idea! I would totally recommend trying it out. hehe.. the only problem is that you will like it soo much you will go by every day and drive the sales personell crasy... not to say that I did that... yes well... :D

Typically any type of high end business centre... or laptop servicing centre have them on display. Staples does not carry laptops up here (Canada)

Your best bet might be a local University....and if you're in ATL you might check GT's bookstore. I don't know for sure whether they have a Thinkpad deal for their students like they do here at NCSU, but lots of major universities (and some smaller ones) have several current models in their bookstores. Check their websites or give them a call.

Cool, I'll check office depot tomorrow. I'll actually be going to GaTech next year, but I don't think they do IBM, they do DELL and Apple. Bummer.

Thanks though!
