Hi,

Is there a list at Lenovo that shows which systems supports SATA 6GBps? I'm looking for new notebook to buy but not sure which models supports it. Pls help. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

The current generation which has the Ivy Bridge CPU's and the prior generation which has the Sandy Bridge CPU's support the faster 6Gb/s SATA.

These are the X220, X230, T420, T420s, T430, T430s, T520, T530, W520 and W530.

Others feel free to chime in if I have left anything out or in.

The E220s and E420s is Sandy Bridge, so that would be a yes. The L512 is old, so that one is a no. I am unsure about the AMD based ThinkPads like the E525.
