#thinkpads on Freenode or Other server?

Ok, ive been pondering this for a while now....

Why doesn't bill or an avid Thinkpad user create a channel on Freenode for a wide range of issues in helping people with their Thinkpad needs?

I'm not exactly sure how active it would be, but it'd definately be a more live resource

uhmm, but how can freenode be more "live" than this..?

Bill - you should look into what I suggested in the "Thinkpads.com redesign..." thread - a java chat hosted right here on the webpage. Of course, it could be accessed from any IRC client, but it would be really good for the newbies who come in here and ask repetitive, basic questions in (where else but) the T-series forum.

Also, let me know if you thought any more about that favicon thing I was talking about.
