x41 with T41 power brick

#1 Post by tipo33 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 7:25 pm

I just got a X41T, and was wondering if I could use my T41 power brick (FRU 02K6754). The X41T states that it needs 16volts 3,5amps and the power brick gives out 16volts at 4,5amps. Could anyone please confirm if this will work or not? Thank you.

Doing the same here and no issues, I think it only matters when the plug outputs less power rather than more.

Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.

For what its worth, the T30's dont like the lower output of the 3.5 amp. It shows up as an annoying flicker in the screen. You can use them for charging when the machine is turned off, but it is not ideal.
