Square Trade warranty

I just purchased an factory refurbished T42 off Ebay. It comes with a one year IBM warranty. I have the option to buy a 3 year Square Trade warranty for $156. Does anybody have experience with this warranty? Is it worth buying?

Be careful, go onto the e-bay site and see if you can find any info on the square trade deal!

I’ve nearly been caught out by this, I asked the seller if a private deal was negotiable and they agreed and gave me details about a square deal trading system. They also sent a URL link which looked like a ebay URL but wasn’t. I then checked the ebay website and could not find anything on this and asked the seller to point me to the relevant info. This was the last I heard from them.

Yeah, I don't think it's officially part of Ebay. I've already purchased the laptop so the decision is just wheather to get the extended warranty or not.
