Looking for Pricing Input - T60

#1 Post by NorrisCell » Tue Apr 02, 2013 7:18 pm

Getting a T60 from a friend and looking for info as to an approximate price range.

Details:
2623-DBU

15" 1400x1050 screen (Undetermined quality)
T2400 CPU
Will be sold with 2x1GB RAM
80GB hard drive, assuming it's still the original one
DVD-CDRW combo

The hard drive, battery condition, and screen will influence the price, of course. Looking for an approximate range, including power adapter
Cell phones are my specialty. Got questions? Ask away.

I would give $120-$150 for that machine, but would expect a pretty good condition of the battery, screen and physical quality. Not perfect obviously , but good.
My collection
T61-2.4/160gb/2gb/SXGA+
600X-650mhz/320mb/40gb

Got it earlier. The screen and battery are in amazing shape. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the rest of the machine. Some parts of the casing aren't snapped together. One of the keyboard screw holes is stripped entirely. The lever to release the optical drive is missing. The trackpoint and buttons don't work at all.

Shame. Maybe I'll try and take it apart and see what can and can't be fixed. The screen is gorgeous, and the battery shows almost no wear.

Someone probably took off the palmrest, then sloppily put it back on, without connecting the trackpad cable.
To fit properly, the palmrest needs to be slided onto the edge of the front, towards the LCD.
A machine as you described can be picked up on eBay for $75-90.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
