Z60t and Z61t

#1 Post by jronald » Wed Apr 03, 2013 2:10 pm

Ok, I know a 60 LCD and lid assy. will fit a 61t, with minor (very minor) clearance issues. I sort of think the 61t will work backwards also. Specifically swapping the entire unit will work. I have done the 60 to 61 swap.

My question is, are the LCD's swappable. I know there are numerous FRU numbers and at least 2 resolutions involved. Anyone out there done any tinkering and have the answer?

There are actually two lid sizes...to match the appropriate screens...

14.0 which is always 1280x768 and can't be upgraded

14.1 which is 1280x800 and can be upgraded to 1440x900

Have fun.
