So how to locate the IPS screens?

I've been reading about it lately. Apparently only the T60 and possibly the T43/T42 had them in the 15" line.

I'm guessing that any 15" screen with 1400x1050 is going to be IPS? eh?

Not quite...but close:

A30p, A31p, R50p, T42p, T43p, T60p: 15" UXGA (1600x1200)

A31 (some), R51, T42, T43, T60, T60p: 15" SXGA+ (1400x1050)

R50p: 15" QXGA (2048x1536)

Out of newer ThinkPads - apart from tablets - only X220 and X230 have an IPS screen as an option.
