Rare T61 4:3, Intel Penryn 42w7872 SXGA+ $299+

This is a very rare find, not only with the illusive 42w7872 system board, Intel graphics with Penryn support, but also an original SXGA+ system.

Condition is excellent for a system of this vintage, screen is free of blemishes or dead pixels. Keyboard has only normal wear, expect some wear on lid and bottom cover.

I'm offering it barebones at only $299, this will include cover and caddy but no HDD, battery or AC adapter, all of which I can supply if needed.

Wow, the hole grail as far as standard T61 4:3's with discrete Intel graphics are concerned.
I would be seriously tempted to buy this one if I didn't already have a custom build T61 8897.

Thanks Arjen, I actually had two of these, one just sold and the other has some interest. Finding an Intel system with sxga+ is rare enough, but getting one with the 42w7872 board is extremely rare. I also got two of these about a year ago and sold one of them in less than 2hrs to a forum member. Haven't seen any since until I got these, and oddly enough there were two of them.

I may be offering a third also, but it has xga screen so I'll probably offer it with or without sxga+ upgrade.

I also have a 42w7872 board offered separately or in a T60 frankenpad kit.

There is now only ONE unit left. I doubt very seriously we'll see anymore laptops that have both the rare 42w7872 board and SXGA+ graphics.

I do have one nice unit with Intel graphics 42w7648 and sxga+ for $250.

This does sound tempting... The Intel variant would go well with my nVidia T61p.
