T43 6600 mAh brand new Battery charging time

I have bought a brand new 6600 mAh battery for my T43. ( not IBM/Lenovo)
I have plug it in the laptop ( off) for charging yesterday at 5 PM ( CET) and now, after 17 hours the battery led indicator is still orange.
The vendor says that the brand new battery is very low
To do it for 3-5 times complete charging/discharging cicles to assure a long life for the battery and optimal performances.

the battery manual suggest that :" Sometimes a new battery is hard toi be charged. If it happens, it is suggested to remove the battery from laptop and reinsert it "

the question is if that happens frequently or not..

I have update every power management application for the T43 for main website but the laptop read only a 70% charge in the 6600 mAh capacity.
widget screen " battery inserted, 70%, in charge" after 2 hours ( laptop plug with AC) remain the same indication
now I try to disconnect the AC and leave the laptop on 'til battery discharge and recharge it totally ( as possible).

Please can anybody tell me where in Win 7 the charge and discharge program to optimize the battery is ?

It is part of the Power Management program.
It may not show correct figures, because yours is not an OEM battery...

the best performance about charg % of this battery I have reached is 88%, at the 2nd cicle ( after a total discharge), but now the battery charge at least at 86 % and after the orange battery led status start to blink and win7 or linux indicate that the charge plug is not inserted..

Souldn't blame the "thinkpad envireonment", when the real cause is inferior, non-OEM, third party hardware.

I have done about 50 I guess, so for me it's no problem.
But you need to be very accurate and have steady hands to do the job.
All it requires is a heatgun, a dentist's pick, a soldering iron, a SATA connector, some thin 32AWG wires and a lot of patience.
It has been fully described and discussed in this forum, all the info is there.
