WTB: UXGA Flexview LCD for T60

Preferably a Hydis HV150UX1-100 (or -102?), new or in good condition.

There is a forum member who sells the hydis panels, I think they are non-lenovo panels reflashed with the proper firmware, but many have purchased them and they have had good feedback. Original NOS panels are getting hard to source, the last time we saw any quantity of them was over a year ago when member RBS had a case and they sold quickly at $165, a very good deal for genuine NOS part. I think to get a genuine nos screen today would be slightly higher, but if you want something more affordable I do have some NOS sxga+ screens for $60 each manufactured by LG Philips from an original case. I also have some very nice used ones for $30, but no uxga at the moment.

There is also a newer LED lit version of this board but it requires some major modification to work in a T60 series. RBS was doing the conversions, but I believe the panels are sold out.

Thanks for your offer, I will keep that in mind if I don't find a reasonably priced uxga.

Actually, I have the Hydis led version but I don't like it. The colors are to cold and most importantly its to bright for use in the evening or a night even in a reasonably lit room! Stupidly I destroyed my old ccfl before I properly tested the led lcd.

Two things here:

a) You can't use a LED panel with an unmodified monitor profile from CCFL, it will look too cold/bright

b) As for the brightness itself, Fn+End does wonders if you feel it's too bright at maximum... :) ...which it very well might be for many people...

The backlight is clearly colder than on my old ccfl even after calibration. I guess it is a matter of taste but I liked the color the ccfl produced much better. The same goes for brightness, for me it is a bit to bright for night use at lowest brightness.

I have some used good T60 UXGA panels, maybe we can do a swap: your LED-UXGA for my CCFL-UXGA?
PM me if interested.
