T61 Monitor problems

Hi, my monitor has suddenly gone pink and flickery. Does anyone knwo what the problem might be?

The whites are now stripy pink and colours look like they are only 8bit. Prior to it going bad, I was watching youtibe and the laptop did get quite hot and has been for the past few weeks.
