I have a T420 with smart card reader. However I do not know which type of smart card can be used with the reader.
I tried to use some of those credit card which has smart chip on it. But my Win7 always complain no driver found.
T420 Smart card reader
Re: T420 Smart card reader
It depends on the type of card, Windows 7 natively can read certain types of cards. Sometimes the card provider also gives some software to read it.
For example when I insert my credit card, windows 7 shows up as SCFILTER\CID_0073c84000009000 for hardware Id and says Generic Smart Card , No drivers are installed for this device.
