Hi guys
Sorry to bother you all with this - but I'm stumped.
I want to put Linux on my old T43 2668, trying to be clever I thought I'd put several different versions on to some spare hd's I've got and just swap them over as I fancied.
I'm aware of the Error 2010 problem with the T43's, but on the three drives that I tried (two of them IBM drives) I got absolute zilch, not even the error 2010, the machine is not seeing the hard drives. I booted up with Acronis and Paragon and both of them showed no hard drive visible!
Am I doing something stupid - do I somehow have to inform the bios?
Best regards
Tony

Re: Disk Problem
If the hard drive was installed correctly, with label facing down, secured with all 4 screws in the caddy and pushed all the way in with a proper size (14" and 15" are different) HD cover and there are no jumpers or bent pins on the drives, then you're likely looking at a loose SouthBridge chip on the board which will call for a planar swap.
Good luck.
Good luck.
