Middleton's and Vista

#1 Post by DRobinson » Sun Apr 28, 2013 9:37 am

I have a T61 that came with vista. I want to flash Middleton's and do a OS refresh. Does the flashing remove the SLP activation for Vista and replace it with 7? Could I still activate Vista via SLP or would I need the COA key? the reason I ask is because the coa is very worn, such that I can not read it any more.

Middleton's BIOS includes Slic2.1 tables, good for both Vista and W7.
The previous Slic2.0 only works for Vista.

So, I tried it. It did work. It activated a Dell home premium install that I had floating around. The thing is, this model T61 came with Vista Business 32, Not Vista home premium. I may have to bag out on my idea. Also, in system settings, it showed "Dell" logo. This is certainly not the right thing to do to this machine. So, for now, no vista re-install.

I maybe should have been more specific: M's BIOS has Lenovo Slic tables, not Dell or HP or Gateway or whatever...

Do a Google search on removing the logo and you will get some explanations on how-to. You could also search out how to replace the Dell OEM info & .bmp logo with IBM Thinkpad.

Get a set of T61-compatible Lenovo Vista Biz Recovery CDs.
