X301 and Win8: No Single Sign-on anymore?

hey guys, I recently installed Win 8 on my X301 and am having trouble with the fingerprint software.
Looks like there is no way to realize fingerprint single sign-on anymore. I've tried several different versions of Lenovo fingerprint software as well as Protector Suite from authentec. (the manufacturer of the chip)
This feature works perfectly with Win 7 though.
One of the potential reasons for this is the fingerprint chip used in X301.
Any ideas?
