Scrolling with the TouchPad

#1 Post by Puggy » Fri May 06, 2005 2:21 pm

OMG!

I just discovered you can scroll any focused window by "rubbing" the edges (right and lower) of the touchpad. I was really envious of other laptops that had marked places where the scrolling would work, and since my T42p didn't have that i always thought it wasn't there. I discovered it by accident, don't know if this was a known issue.

I love my TP!!!!!!!

I've occasionally wondered why most people don't use that feature, or use taps to double-click, or tap then hold to scroll or drag. Most people don't even know you can just tap the trackpoint to select something (though I'll admit it takes a certain touch).

Features that 90% of users never use...

and if you drag your finger at the bottom of the touchpad, it scrolls sideway also.... in case you didn't know that already!

I'm a TrackPoint guy through and through, but the touchpad properties can do some pretty cool things. Since I don't use my touchpad to move the cursor, I have it set so if i tap the left it goes back a webpage and the right forward one. Handy stuff!
