#1 Post by karagunis » Mon May 13, 2013 7:54 am

I have problem on my thinkpad z61m, 40% of lcd bottom screeen is covered with vertical lines.
Is it problem in flat cable or lcd panel?

That problem is in the LCD panel.

One more thing, pressing the display bezel was helping me to solve this problem many
times before but recently I can't fix it that way anymore.
So are you 100% sure it's problem with panel?

Solution: Buy a new LCD, then move on.

Problem solved :)

Thanks for your quick answers.
So what is my next step, do I need to replace lcd with the same fru like mine, or is it possible to use
some other compatible fru?

You should stick with a Lenovo-issued LCD, IMO.

The only question is whether you want to stick with WSXGA+ that you currently have or move up to WUXGA...

Good luck.

I would choose cheaper option, but I don't know where can I find compatible fru's for my laptop?
FRU on my lcd panel is 13N7020.

I have opportunity to buy second hand z60m 2529FKG with working lcd and WSXGA+ resolution. But I don't have
information about fru number to check compatibility... I just need a confirmation will it work with my z61m?

Any WSXGA+ panel from *60/*61/*500 series will work, no issues.
