Hi,
I have been running OpenBSD for years on X series thinkpads. I quite like them.
My new work is asking me which laptop I would like. I have my eye on the x230t, however, I cannot find any detailed info on the tablet hardware (screen + digitiser). If I can find this information, I can take an educated guess as to whether BSD will support the hardware.
- Is it a wacom digitiser? Which model exactly?
- Which bus is it connected to? USB I bet?
- Are special drivers required or is it a generic HID device? Perhaps it has a compatibility mode that allows it to work like a generic HID device, albeit without some of the swishy features like pressure sensing?
A screenshot of the windows device manager might be able to answer these questions?
I guess there may be hardware differences between the indoor and outdoor screen too.
Cheers
x230t touch screen and digitiser model?
