DVD Drive doesn't work right after reassembling T41

Hello,

What I apparently did to break it. I had a problem with where the power cord plugs in. It was a bit wobly, and I wasn't getting power. I dissasembled the T41 to try to get to that piece (took off keyboard, bevel, and LCD), but that appears to require a very complete dissably of the entire T41. I took off the screw on top of the yellow piece the power cable plugs into, and now it wobbles more, but now the unit gets power. So I put it the T41 back together with that one screw out. (I didn't see how I could get that yellow piece out.) I'm not sure the screws all got back in their correct slots. I had them organized, but the dog jumped on that. I just took all the screws on the back out, as just the keyboard screws weren't enough to get the bevel (?) off.

Now my DVD drive doesn't work. I have a movie in there I watched last night. So I uninstalled the DVD driver and reinstalled it. When I put the CD in, it asked if I want to install the interActual player. I installed it okay from the DVD drive. Then it gave an error - "Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. Lowering your screen resolution or color depth may fix the problem. (I usually use VLC, but it wouldn't play the disk or give any error message, so I tried interActual.) I can explore the files on the DVD. I ran the PC Tools Thinkpad T41 diagnostics you get to by pressing the blue Access IBM key on bootup. All the system board and video tests pass. It won't run the DVD drive test - it starts, and then says N/A as a result (instead of PASSED/FAILED).

I'm using this same T41 right now.
