X60 Tablet restore disk needed.
Hello.I recently got a Lenovo x60 Tablet 6363-46U that had a dead hard drive.(only reason the person was gonna toss it..lucky me,lol). Installed hard drive I had from another laptop and all worked fine. From what i have read it takes XP Tablet edition and i can't find it anywhere.I have a windows 7 home premium disk and tried it but with the limited ram installed in it it is a little cramped.Would like to install xp tablet edition (I have a COA on the bottom of the tablet) and the recovery disks if i can find it until i get more memory for it later on down the road.Does anywhere that it can be downloaded I've looked online and the only option I can find is from Lenovo for ~$50 plus shipping.
Re: X60 Tablet restore disk needed.
Hi, could you pls link me to the Lenovo site where you found the xp tablet version for ordering? Thx Kenneth

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product ... MIGR-76613 is one link. You have to call and give them the numbers on the bottom of the laptop/tablet for them to get the right one.

You should post this in the Marketforum instead.

I fully intend doing this myself and it should work.
Just look at the underside for the microsoft sticker to see what kind of windows it is - vista business in my case - then I will download a ISO image, install using the key I have, and then use the systemupdate to install drivers.
What i then intend doing is upgrading to windows 8 (£40ish in UK), but in your case you will be able to make an image backup of the disk, think Lenovo provide the software for this - forget its name.
