T60 1952A97 Mother board and Ram.

Hi all,

I would like to get a spare mother board for my T60, as a spare before (in case) it fails. It's a 1952A97.

Can anyone tell me if all T60 mother boards are the same, and if not, how do I find the correct part number to buy a spare for mine?

Also, according to PC Doctor, I have Total Physical Memory 2,048.00 MB on one memory chip. Is this the most it can support, or can I add more? If I can add more, which type of memory must I use?

All the part numbers can be found here in the hardware maintenance manual.

There are discrete GPU motherboards and integrated GPU motherboards. Your model supports the integrated GPU. The chipset of all T60's supports up to 3Gb of DDR2 memory.

still looking for a spare M/B? I have one, brand new from Lenovo that will work. Exact part/fru # is at home and can get it tonight. But I believe it's an Intel based GPU board, so same style as your existing board

actually I just came across two extra T60 14" motherboard's and both have the 128MB GPU on em. I'll keep looking as I thought I had an Intel board, new just as the others I already found are
