T60p won't come out of sleep after upgrading SSD

#1 Post by StevenD » Mon May 27, 2013 8:35 am

Hi,
I've had a 256Gig Crucial SSD in my T60p for over a year. Love it. Upgrade was easy. Made it seem like the processor speed quadrupled.

Now I just upgraded to another Crucial SSD, the new M500, 960 GB, which can be had for $599. But now the TP won't wake from sleep. the little indicator lights come on, but no screen, nothing else. Worked fine on the *other* Crucial SSD.

The device is brand new, so I didn't see any firmware updates on Crucial's site. I posted this question there, but figured I'd get more useful info from this community. Any help greatly appreciated. I sleep and wake this computer at least 10 times a day.

Thanks,
--Steve D.

I'm guessing you are having a classic Crucial's ssd problem ...
what if you disabled the sleep feature and let your screen on until Crucial released a new firmware for M500 ... which mean you cannot close the lcd's lid ...

I've disabled the sleep feature on my samsung 830 ssd ... but when I'm travelling between rooms, I close the LCD's lid ....

maybe others will post their solutions ..
Hello world.
